The road that led away — and the loyalty that never left.
I grew up on a small island in Rhode Island, where your word was your bond and a handshake sealed it. There were no contracts needed among people who meant what they said. That culture shaped everything about how I work today.
Those values are reflected in my maiden name — Belshaw — and our family motto: Loyal au mort. Loyal till death. It is not a dramatic phrase to me. It is simply the standard I was raised to keep.

My path was set early. Before I ever set foot on a college campus, I had received a call to ministry. So when it came time to choose a school, I chose Greensboro College specifically — not by accident, but by purpose.
After earning my undergraduate degree, I pursued and completed a Master of Divinity (M.Div.) — a graduate-level theological degree that trained me not only in scripture and pastoral care, but in the administration, structure, and organizational life of the Church. I did not leave that training behind when I entered the professional world. I carried it into every organization I served.
That credential is the reason Church Excellence exists as one of my five trades. When I walk into your sanctuary as a Mystery Worshipper, I am not simply a consultant with a clipboard. I am someone who understands what worship is for, what hospitality means in a faith context, and what it costs a congregation when a first-time visitor leaves without feeling seen.

I am a researcher by nature and by training. Whether I am cross-referencing data within secure digital environments, conducting physical library and archive visits for rare genealogy records, or building side-by-side procurement matrices for major organizational decisions — I do not stop until the answer is complete and trustworthy.
I have incorporated AI and digital tools into my practice not because it is trendy, but because they extend what I can do for my clients without compromising the accuracy or integrity of the outcome. The tool serves the standard — never the other way around.
